Activities and upcoming exhibitions
2010:
4th July - 14 August 2010: ” Below the sky above the sea”, Galleri NB, Viborg
Kári Svensson (Spain!) and Carsten Frank (Faroe Islands!) have just exhibited the results of April month studying each other's studios and surroundings. 
For Carsten, it was an extremely intensive and inspiring stay at the wonderful, beautiful, small archipelago in the middle of the North Atlantic. Something really happens with art, when you cut your normal network away and leaves space for contemplation and "goes in the monastery." The inspiration from the surroundings and the magnificent natural beauty is now enshined in no less than 17 canvases and eight works on paper.

Spring 2011: Solo exhibition Galleri Dørflinger, Randers
"Land"
In 2005, Carsten painted a decoration for the Jyske Finans (Jutland Finance) canteen in Silkeborg. This consisted of nine large landscape paintings, accompanied by nine poems – one for each painting. As so often before, Carsten was inspired by Kristian Lilholt’s music while he was working on these paintings. When Kristian subsequently saw the paintings and heard the poems, he entered directly “into a creative bubble” – and he composed music and songs to these poems.
Like many other things, this Land project is currently affected by the economic crisis. But we hope for interest for financing some day during the next year. The Land project will then be released on CD and DVD accompanied by a little book that tells about the process, from music to painting and back again.
